Quinoa plant is native to the Andes Mountains since 5000 years ago and it has been domesticated by local farmers growing up to 4000 mts. above sea level. Due to its abundance and its unique nourishing properties, the Incas referred to it as "mother of all grains" and considered it as a precious gift attributed to its holiness: the Sun god. Its edible seed has been feeding the Andean population for centuries, and now is becoming one of the main superfood ingredients in the world.
